As we start the final month of this school year, it is the perfect time to think ahead to the new school year.
Planning for re-entry after COVID-19 is underway, and we want to hear from you. We want to know your thoughts and perspectives about returning to school in the Fall. We have collaborated with surrounding jurisdictions and staff within our division to develop three surveys: one for students, one for parents, and one for staff.
We are currently preparing for three potential scenarios, as considered by the province:
- a return to normal school operations
- schools open for classes, but health restrictions will impact some operations
- classes remain canceled and remote learning continues
We will compose plans for school re-entry based on your input and in accordance with the parameters and instructions set by the Alberta Government and the province's chief medical officer of health.
Participation in these surveys is voluntary, and all responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential. Children who wish to have support to complete the student survey can work with an older sibling or an adult to share their thoughts.
Survey deadline: Sunday, June 7 - 6 p.m.
