Pre-Kindergarten

Eligibility

Parents/legal guardians who are interested in our Pre-Kindergarten programs should submit an Online Inquiry Form.

If concerns with development are identified on the form, our Division will contact you with information about screening and assessments.

  • Based on assessment, children with a severe delay/disorder (in specific areas of development) may be eligible for Program Unit Funding (PUF). Children who are eligible for PUF may attend Pre-kindergarten for 2 years prior to entering Kindergarten.
  • Based on assessment, children with a mild/moderate delay/disorder (in specific areas of development) may be eligible for Pre-Kindergarten for 1 year prior to entering Kindergarten.

Children with no developmental concerns may be eligible for Pre-Kindergarten if space is available. Note: priority placement is given to children who are eligible for funding due to developmental concerns.
