Superintendent’s Update: Students, Parents/Legal Guardians, and Staff

Spring Break

As we begin Spring Break, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the families of Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools. It has been an eventful school year so far, filled with numerous achievements and milestones by our dedicated students. From academic triumphs to outstanding performances in extracurricular activities, our students have truly showcased their talents and commitment to excellence. As we prepare for this well-deserved break, let us reflect on the successes and growth experienced thus far and look forward to the opportunities ahead. Whether you're getting away or enjoying a peaceful staycation, I encourage you to cherish this time with loved ones and recharge for the exciting endeavours awaiting us upon our return. Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and rejuvenating Spring Break filled with laughter, love, and memorable moments. I look forward to what the remainder of the school year holds for students, families, and staff.

Registration for the 2024/25 School Year

It's that time of year when we ask families to enroll their children for the upcoming school year. Early registration is pivotal in organizing and allocating resources such as staffing, textbooks, and facilities. Early registration becomes even more crucial with the recent surge in new student enrollments within our division over the past two years.

Register now to automatically qualify for our registration contest, where you could be one of the winners of a $100 gift card to a local grocery store (three winners will be drawn). All past and present registrations will be entered into the draw before the break's end (April 1st, 11:59 pm). Don't miss out on this opportunity; register today on the division website.

Draft Social Studies Curriculum

You’re invited to provide feedback on key learnings in the new draft K-6 social studies curriculum. This is part of the ongoing work to develop a comprehensive new social studies curriculum for grades K-12 in Alberta. More than 300 education partners, teachers, multicultural organizations, and Indigenous and francophone communities have provided feedback so far. Have your say by March 29:

Reminder: Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools Education Foundation 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Prepare for an exciting event as we gear up for the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament! Planning is in full swing, and registration will open very soon, so start rallying your teams and stay tuned to our social media channels to secure your spot. Funds raised will allow the foundation to enhance division educational opportunities by continuing to provide scholarships and grants for our students.

Blessings for Holy Week & Easter

As we prepare to journey through Holy Week, I extend all my heartfelt blessings and prayers to you. Holy Week is a time of profound significance in our Catholic faith, marking the journey of Jesus Christ from the triumphal entry to the cross and, ultimately, to the joyous celebration of His resurrection.

As we approach Easter, let us rejoice in the promise of new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. May the joy of the resurrection fill your homes and hearts with abundant blessings, and may the spirit of hope and renewal inspire you in all you do.

Wishing you all a blessed Holy Week and a joyous Easter filled with love, peace, and innumerable blessings.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr. Clint Moroziuk
