Mandatory Disclosure of Campaign Finances

As per the Local Authorities Election Act - section 147, all candidates in the 2021 Trustee Election, regardless of being self-funded or accepting contributions, are required to file a disclosure statement with the municipality and/or school division in which they sought election.

Candidates must disclose the names and addresses of donors whose contributions exceed $50. All candidates, regardless of being self-funded or accepting contributions, are required to file a disclosure statement with the municipality and/or school division in which they sought election.

All financial disclosure and reporting must be filed and posted by March 1, 2022.

The Board has seven (7) Trustees; four (4) in the St. Albert & Area Ward, two (2) in the Morinville & Area Ward, and one (1) in the Legal & Area Ward. An election was held on October 18, 2021 in the St. Albert & Area Ward only, with five (5) Candidates competing for four (4) positions.  All Candidates in the Morinville and Legal Wards were acclaimed.
