New Student Registration

Register for the NEXT school year - 2025/2026

- Please register here as a "New Student" if the student is NOT currently attending a GSACRD school in the 2024/2025 school year.

Register for the CURRENT school year - 2024/2025

- Please register here if the student is NOT currently attending a GSACRD school.

Please note: New students include those registering for Semester 2 of this current school year (2024/2025).

Current Student

Register for the NEXT school year - 2025/2026

- Please DO NOT fill out a New Student Registration as a notification email will be sent shortly to register for the next school year. Once you receive the email, you can log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account and complete a returning student registration online form. 

Register for the CURRENT school year - 2024/2025

- Please contact the school directly if the student IS currently attending a GSACRD school and is transferring to a different GSACRD school.

How to Register

New Student Registration:

New students to GSACRD can enroll using the online enrollment system through PowerSchool. If you want to register for the current 2024/2025 school year, please register here. If you are registering for the new school year in 2025/2026, please complete registration here.

How do I enroll with PowerSchool?

1) Visit https://www.gsacrd.ab.ca/registration-information and select the grade and the year you are registering for.

2) Create an account in PowerSchool Enrolment.

3) Complete the Registration form in full and submit it. You will receive an email confirming your submission.

4) The school will review your student’s Registration form and contact you with further information.

Please note: Registration is not complete until the Registration Form has been completed, reviewed and approved by the School Principal and the school has received all supporting documentation. Some examples of supporting documents are Birth Certificates, Parental Court orders, and Fee Commitment forms for kindergarten or academy programs.

 

Register for Sports Academy

Registration will open on January 7, 2025 for current Sports & Rec Academy students, January 14, 2025 for all District students and January 21, 2025 it is  open to the public.  Please register through your PowerSchool Parent Portal under School Fees and Forms and your child's name.  If you are new our district please email sports-rec-office@gsacrd.ab.ca to get an ID to register.

School Entrance Age

Pre-Kindergarten

- Supported Learners -  Alberta Education provides Program Unit Funding (PUF) for children between 2.8 and 4.8 years of age who have been identified as needing early learning intervention (born in 2022 or 2021). Information shared on this form will help to determine if your child will qualify for funding. 

- Independent Learners - Children born in 2021 who are in their year before Kindergarten are welcome to join our schools. Please be advised that the school enrolment numbers will determine whether a morning or afternoon class will be offered. Fees of $150.00 per month apply.

Don't Own a Computer?

All schools have a computer available for parents that do not have access to a computer or the internet. The PowerSchool Registration program is mobile friendly, meaning that you can use your phone to register.

Documentation for Registration

For pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students, and for students new to Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools (including homeschooling and cyber school), legal proof of the student's name, residency and guardianship will be required when you register. Please provide the school with photocopies of required documents, which will be placed in your child's Alberta Education Official Student Record.

Medical Documents

If your child/student has a medical condition that the school staff should be made aware of you may need to fill out a medical form such as Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan, Diabetes Care Plan or Medical Information Form. Please talk to your school and decide if this is necessary for your child/student.  Medical forms can be found in our resource library.
