Spring Break

As we begin Spring Break, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the families of Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools. It has been an eventful school year so far, filled with numerous achievements and milestones by our dedicated students. From academic triumphs to outstanding performances in extracurricular activities, our students have truly showcased their talents and commitment to excellence. As we prepare for this well-deserved break, let us reflect on the successes and growth experienced thus far and look forward to the opportunities ahead. Whether you're getting away or enjoying a peaceful staycation, I encourage you to cherish this time with loved ones and recharge for the exciting endeavours awaiting us upon our return. Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and rejuvenating Spring Break filled with laughter, love, and memorable moments. I look forward to the remainder of the school year for students, families, and staff.

Nominations are open: Laura Bird Memorial Beacon of Hope Award!

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting nominations for the Laura Bird Memorial Beacon of Hope Award! This award recognizes faith mentors in our school communities who serve others selflessly and inclusively, just like Laura Bird did when she was a teacher in St. Albert.

We're looking for a Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools staff member who has gone above and beyond in their Christian service, setting new standards for others to follow. If you know someone who fits this description, please consider nominating them!

The nomination form is on our website, and more information about the award is on page 8. The deadline for nominations is May 16th, 2025. You can send your nominations to communications@gsacrd.ab.ca or drop them off at the division office. Let's honour those who inspire us to be better! The nomination form is found here. Blessings for Holy Week & Easter

As we continue our Lenten journey toward Holy Week, I extend all my heartfelt blessings and prayers to you. Holy Week is a time of profound significance in our Catholic faith, marking the journey of Jesus Christ from the triumphal entry to the cross and, ultimately, to the celebration of His joyful resurrection. I would like to share the following prayer on Easter by an unknown author from the Xavier University website, with sincere prayers and blessings for your families:

May the glory

and the promise

of this joyous time of year

bring peace and happiness to you

and those you hold most dear.

And may Christ,

Our Risen Saviour,

always be there by your side

to bless you most abundantly

and be your loving guide.

Amen.

As we approach Easter, let us rejoice in the promise of new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. May the joy of the resurrection fill your homes and hearts with abundant blessings, and may the spirit of hope and renewal inspire you in all you do.

I wish you all a wonderful Spring Break, a blessed Holy Week, and a joyous Easter filled with love, peace, and innumerable blessings.

In peace and joy,
Dr. Clint Moroziuk
