Superintendent’s Update: Students, Parents/Legal Guardians, and Staff

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, the month of June arrives with joyful energy and no shortage of activity. From final exams and field trips to graduations, farewells, and year-end celebrations, it is a time marked by excitement and reflection. We know the coming weeks will be full, and we are grateful for the dedication of our students, the tireless work of our staff, and the support of our families as we journey together through this busy season.

In our Catholic tradition, June is also the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which serves as a powerful reminder of Christ’s deep, abiding love for each of us. As we navigate the busyness ahead, may the image of the Sacred Heart call us back to what matters most: love, compassion, and the desire to see Christ in one another. In moments of stress or fatigue, may we find peace in that divine love and strength in the knowledge that our work in Catholic education is part of a much greater mission.

Important Transportation Updates for 2025-2026
We’re excited to share that our new GPS system will be fully operational by September 2025, offering families more transparency and peace of mind regarding student transportation. A new app will also be launching soon—stay tuned for more details on how it will enhance your ability to track your child’s bus in real time.

As we gear up for the next school year, student transportation registration is now open! Please be reminded that June 1, 2025, is the deadline to be included in our routing process. Registrations received after this date and up until August 1, 2025, will still be eligible for busing on the first day of school. However, registrations received after August 1st may result in delayed transportation access.

Transportation fees have also been loaded to your PowerSchool account if you have applied for busing in the 24-25 or the 25-26 school year. Please log in to review and complete payment promptly to avoid any service disruptions.

Are you moving this summer? If your family is relocating and your child requires transportation, be sure to contact our Transportation team. It’s important to confirm that your new address is within the attendance boundary of your preferred school and that busing is still available from your new location. Please feel free to contact us:

New Collective Agreement Ratified with Unifor Local 72-A
We’re pleased to share that Unifor Local 72-A and the Board of Trustees have ratified a new Memorandum of Agreement, successfully concluding this round of collective bargaining. This means a new Collective Agreement is now in place, which will be in effect until August 2028. This agreement represents a positive step forward for our school division. We are grateful for the collaborative efforts of the Unifor 72-A bargaining committee, and we are confident that this new agreement reflects a balanced outcome that supports both staff and the overall well-being of our schools.

Prayers and Blessings
As we bring this school year to a close, and as we offer our gratitude for the blessings of our Catholic learning community, let us also entrust our students, staff, families, and all those we hold dear to the tender mercy of Jesus. I invite you to pray this beautiful prayer, with confidence in the infinite love of Christ’s Sacred Heart:

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing,

I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins

I offer you this poor heart of mine.

Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will.

Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.

Protect me in the midst of danger.

Comfort me in my afflictions.

Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,

your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be our anchor and our light and may these final weeks of the school year be filled with hope, celebration, and the joy of community.

In Christ,

Dr. Clint Moroziuk
